The Caretaker Chairman of Ofu local government council, Hon. Muhammed Musa Lawal, has called on the staff of the local council to be dedicated to their duties, as the administration of Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo is committed to workers’ welfare.

Hon Lawal, while addressing workers of the local government, promised that his administration will take the matter of workers’ welfare seriously.

In a press release signed by the principal information officer of the council, Omede Samuel, the Chairman advised the workers to cultivate the habit of coming to the office regularly, urging them to avoid the attitude of staying at home without coming to the office.

He said it will be very embarrassing if a visitor comes to the council secretariat and met most of the offices closed.

Earlier, the NULGE Chairman, Comrade James Degeli, assured the caretaker chairman that the workers are ready to do every thing for the success of his administration.

In his remarks, the Director Personnel, Mall Muazu Alih thanked the Chairman for the encouragement given to the staff, adding that a word is enough for the wise.

In a vote of thanks, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Labaran Ahmad said workers in Kogi State are privileged to have that right from the Governor, the Deputy Governor down to the members of Ofu caretaker committee who were career civil servants as political leaders, that anybody who has worked as a civil servant before can never witchhunt the workers.

He urged the workers to be diligent in their service to the local government, as they will be rewarded accordingly.
