Kogi State’s Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), has said that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration is effectively combating insecurity in the state.

He made this known during a visit to Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area, alongside Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu on Saturday, to commiserate with the people over the recent killings of three policemen and two vigilante officers.

During his visit, Commander Omodara highlighted the recent successes achieved by the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, in collaboration with Other Hybrid Forces (OHF), in combating banditry in the state.

He added that security forces have neutralized notorious bandit leaders. Specifically, he mentioned the elimination of Kachalla Babangida and Kachalla Bala, noting that these achievements demonstrate the administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity.

Commander Omodara also emphasized that the state government has provided all necessary logistics to support security agencies in their operations.

This assurance, he said, aims to bolster the efforts of security personnel in maintaining peace and stability across Kogi State.

However, he urged that citizens to provide timely and credible information to aid security operations, while assuring that Kogi State Government under the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo remains committed to restoring peace and security in the state.
