The ancient town of Kabba will be agog with fun and funfair this coming weekend as the immediate past Speaker of Kogi House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, roll out drums to celebrate his 60th birthday anniversary.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is expected to headline the event as special guest of honour, while the immediate past Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is the Father of the Day.
According to the statement issued by Prince Kolawole, a philanthropist, Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusola is expected to be the guest of honour at the ceremony.
Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Ayoade Folashade Arike will be the Mother of the Day while the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Owoniyi is expected to lead other traditional rulers in Okun land to the occasion.
The former Speaker will also empower 500 widows during the 2-day event.
The empowerment programme comes up on the 31st of May 2025, while his 60th birthday celebration comes up 1st of June, 2025 at Christ Apostle Church (CAC) Ayeteju, Kabba and reception follows immediately at Johnny’s event center Kabba.
Other dignitaries are expected to grace the ocassion.
