Member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Obaro yesterday commissioned lock-up shops at Itedo Makutu Central Garage and flagged off cash support grants for market women in his council.
The lawmaker also inaugurated security patrol vehicles and motorcycles to enhance security in the council.
The lawmaker who represents Yagba East Local Government Area at the state house of Assembly, said the projects as well as others he had earlier initiated, were aimed at uplifting his Constituency and ensure that members of the constituency benefitted from dividends of democracy.
The lawmaker said he would not relent in efforts to develop his council, adding that members of his Constituency should expect more of his contributions to the council.
His words” Our being at the House of Assembly is at the instance of our people. Expectedly, we should put in all our efforts to ensure the development of our council. I shall not relent in ensuring that we put in place projects that would be of immense benefits to them. That is why we are empowering them and also ensure their safety by working in synergy with relevant security agencies.
“We shall continue to do more by his grace.”
