Oba Kumolu Lived Righteously – Stakeholders

The remains of the late Ologga of Ogga, HRH Oba Daniel Adeyeye Kumolu have been committed to mother earth in Ogga, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State with stakeholders showering encomiums on him for living a Christian and righteous life.

In his homily during the funeral service held at 1st ECWA Church, Ogga, Rev Dr Emmanuel Aiyebulu of 2nd ECWA Church, Aminlegbe Ilorin, averred that Oba Kumolu lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation despite he was a king.

On his part, National President of Ogga Progressive Union, Mr Bamidele Olure described the late monarch as a honest leader and father who lived by example and loved his community passionately.

While stating that a lot of achievements were recorded during his reign, he urged all to emulate the royal father’s commitment to God’s work.

On his part, the representative of the monarch’s children, Prince Adesoji Kumolu who said his father did not belong to any cultist society as a king, attested that he was a core Christian.

Also speaking , the Surveyor General of Kogi State, Surveyor Biodun Abolarin described the monarch as a unique education officer who ensured that many of his subjects were educated, adding that the late monarch abhored indolence and segregation.

On his part, Akeweje of Ogga, Chief Olusheye Omotosho who appreciated all who contributed to the success of the burial programme, urged all to emulate the peaceful disposition of the late royal father.

He added that despite being a king in a traditional setting, Oba Kumolu maintained his genuine Christian disposition till death.

In his contribution to the encomiums, representative of Yagba West Traditional Council, the Elejiba of Ejiba described Oba Kumolu as a focused and determined administrator to the core who they would miss greatly.

Oba Kumolu who was 88 at death, reigned for 40 years and was survived by children, grand children, family and relatives.
