The Oba of Ijagbe and Ooju of Mopa land in Mopamuro local government area of Kogi State, H.R.H Oba Adeleye Amusain, has joined his ancestors.
In a statement signed by Prince Adeleye Temitope on behalf of the family, the respected monarch passed on peacefully midnight today, 8th May, 2024 at his ancestral home, Ijagbe surrounded by his wife, children, and other family members.
According to Prince Adeleye, a pharmacist, the late monarch passed on at the age of 89 years.
Oba Adeleye reigned for over 30 years on the throne as a Royal father contributing positively to the development of not just Ijagbe Community but the entire Mopamuro Local Government Area, and Kogi State at large.
The late monarch was committed to the mother earth before dawn today as the tradition demanded.
Other funeral rites/arrangement will be announced later.
