“I am here today to declare before you my intention to contest for Council President, the No1 Youth seat of our country. My intent was born after due consultations with family members, council stakeholders, mentors, friends and colleagues.
“My agenda for Youth Council are summarized under 3 thematic areas of our campaign tagged ‘Youth Rebirth Movement’ and these are, repositioning the youth council for effective youth advocacy. Here, we believe to effectively capture the yearnings and demands of the youths in Nigeria, it is pertinent that the Council is properly repositioned to serve optimally and lead the youth generation towards actualisation of their full potentials. In doing this, we have itemized some structural and procedural change that will aid us in achieving our set GOAL of becoming the unified, strong and legit voice of Nigerian Youths” he said.
Comrade Nihi said his second agenda is youth orientation and empowerment where he stated that, his Youth Rebirth Movement is principally anchored on the realisation and acknowledgement that a New Nigeria is possible only through a renewal of the mind and engagement in the legitimate economic endeavours that will provide our teeming youths with sources of income.
“The third agenda is to strengthen institutional relationship for optimal results. I believe that, although NYCN has a template defining its relationship with other institutions, the Youth Rebirth leadership shall strengthen existing relations and build new ones that we shall work closely with to actualise our vision for Nigerian Youths.
“I have served and still serving in different capacities in the council, through which i have built good working relationship with all my contemporaries. I therefore submit myself before you for this great assignment,” he added.
