**Calls for Construction Of Ankpa Roads

The member representing Ankpa II constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu has called on the Kogi state government and the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA to construct and where necessary rehabilitate state and federal roads within Ankpa and particularly Enabo to Afor gam-gam, Ojoku to Awo-akpali and Inye to Ofugo in Ankpa II constituency.
The vibrant lawmaker made the call while reacting to a motion moved by his Yagba East Counterpart, Hon Musa Jimoh calling on the state government to urgently provide palliative measures for some bad roads in Kogi West Senatorial District as seconded by Hon. Victor Omofiaye of Ijumu State Constituency.
Hon Rabiu of Ankpa II State Constituency while supporting the motion said the state of bad roads in the state is not limited to the west senatorial district alone, urging the house to include roads in the Eastern part of the state,  while Hon. Abdullahi Bello also urged the house to include the roads in the central Senatorial District.
The Speaker, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole while ruling commended the mover of the motion pointing out that the bad state of roads in the state is alarming, stressing that the title of the motion should be amended to capture the entire state.
Thereafter, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu was honoured with an award of excellence as the  “Most Pragmatic Legislator For The Year 2018” by The Policy & Lawmakers Magazine at Halims Hotel In Lokoja as part of the activities to mark it’s annual award and public lecture which commemorated with NULGE at forty.
In his vote of thanks which also served as a goodwill message, the reputable honorable used the medium to congratulated his colleague and co-recipient, Hon Musa Jimoh of Yagba East constituency who bagged similar award as he further charged the organisers to sustain the initiative which he described as an independent avenue of Leadership checks and balancing.
Highlight of the event was a public lecture and decoration of erstwhile awardees with medal.
