The Feature Editor of Kogi State Newspaper and immediate past Assistant State Secretary of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kogi State Council, Comrade Abdul S. Aji, has inaugurated his campaign team towards the forthcoming 7th National Triennial Delegates Conference of NUJ.
Comrade Aji, who is contesting for the position of Zonal Secretary, Zone D, to represent North Central Zone at the NUJ National Council has been cleared by the credentials committee of NUJ at Abuja.
The campaign committee has Emmanuel Gwatana of The Graphic Newspaper as the Chairman and Solomon Musa of Kogi State Ministry of Information as Secretary.
Other members of the committee are Ibrahim Obansa, The Guardian Correspondent, Noah Ocheni, The Authority Newspaper and Grace Ben Kato, the Deputy News Editor at Kogi State Newspaper Corporation.
The committee is saddled with the task of raising campaign fund, create formidable followership among Kogi State Council delegates and reach out to delegates in other state councils within the North Central.
Abdul S. Aji who has been in active unionism before the creation of Kogi State was the pioneer state secretary of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools who participated actively in the pulling out of secondary school teachers from Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT.
