Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), on Friday, paraded four suspects arrested for violating the state government order, banning illegal collection of revenue by any transport union in the state.
Parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Lokoja on Friday, NSCDC Public Relation Officer, DSC Abdullahi Aliyu said the suspects; Umar Yakubu, Mohammed Danjuma, Agulu Yahaya and Ibrahim Yagaji were arrested at various locations in Lokoja the state capital for criminal conspiracy and illegal collection of revenue.
The NSCDC spokesperson said the four suspects were apprehended on the 5th of February, 2025 for selling stickers to tricycle commercial operators (keke) within Lokoja metropolis, stressing that their act had contravened the law of the state that banned such activities.

According to him, the command would investigate the suspects thoroughly before arraigning them in the court of law to serve as deterrent to others who are planning to violate the law.
Meanwhile, in their separate remarks, two of the suspects claimed ignorance of the new law while others denied the charges levied against them.
