NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN, KOGI STATE.
APPRECIATION MESSAGE
The Not too Young To Run Advocacy Team in Kogi State wish to use this medium to commend the Kogi State House of Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Prince Mathew Kolawole for not only supporting the Not Too Young To Run bill, but for also joining the league of state Assemblies that have made history through the ratification of the bill. It is indeed a giant stride and can count as the greatest achievement of this Assembly.
To ratify the bill means that members of the Kogi State House of Assembly are in tune with the desires of Kogi youths and are also current with the political trend worldwide.
Young people are an integral part of every polity, removing the barriers that limit young people from participating actively in governance is being prioritized all over the world, Kogi State, Nigeria cannot be left behind.
We wish to also commend the patronage received from the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja. Your overwhelming support for this bill went a long way in boosting the Advocacy in Kogi State.
We also appreciate the efforts of critical stakeholders and partners. The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter, the media houses, team members, individuals, youth groups and colleagues in the Civil Society for working round the clock to ensure the ratification of the bill. You all have written your names in the sands of time.
We enjoin Kogi youths to use this opportunity and vie for different elective positions, as the future that was promised is finally here. We must unite within the confine of the law to promote young cerebral kogites with innovations and bright ideas to represent us in the polity and contribute to our collective growth. The time is now.
Congratulations to Kogi Youths, congratulations to Nigeria.
