The Northern Youth Advocacy has conferred the womanof the year award on the chairman, Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr. Muheeba Dankaka.
A leader of the group, Comrade Musa Wada described Dankaka as an ebullient, patriotic, selfless and enigmatic administrator who has shown capacity and character deserving of the honour.
“You would all as patriotic Nigerians have noticed that prior to her appointment by our amiable and change leading President Muhammad Buhari that the institution of the federal character commission charged by our enabling law to be in charge of making sure that all the federating units of the country are justly and equitably given their fair shares while considering citizens for appointments into the federal ministries, departments and agencies MDA, was in a total mess.
“When the senate screened and allow the nomination of this amazon as a member of the federal character commission and her subsequent appointment as the chairman of the 38-member led body, every patriotic Nigerian who is conversant with the workings and duties of the commission cannot live in denial that it did not ushered in a new dawn at the commission.
“This is a woman who through hard work and leadership barely six months into her appointment as the chairman proved all her cynics wrong through the centralisation of the administrative structures of the monitoring and enforcement department. This is vividly a rapid departure from the corrupt systems of the past in the commission and a systematic approach system to curtail this tendencies which has hindered the body to achieve its mandate. This approach has virtually been commended and applauded by all.
“The achievements so far recorded by Dr, Muheeba Dankaka appeared no wonder to be unsettling some business as usual advocates at the common, as this giant stride of achievements within this short time of her appointments which has gone a long way in fulfiling the mandate given to her by the president has never been achieved by any before her.
“Prior to her appointment as chairman of the Federal Character Commission today, she was the chairman of the Kaduna chamber of commerce, industry, miner and agriculture, an endeavour she undertook meritoriously. She was far from controversy when she was at the head of KADCIMA, as she was honoured by our president for her contributions to the national economy as an entrepreneur per excellence.
“The president honoured her with the prestigious national award of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON). Her people conferred on her the title of the Erelu of Offa in Kwara state for her leadership qualities which is a pride to them all.
“Today, for her undaunting spirit against all odds, her incorruptible disposition and her patriotic and exemplary qualities to the youth of Nigeria, we the members and leadership of this great association are proud to announce through this press release as our Woman Of The Year.”
