Kogi State Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hassan Salau, has declared that PDP remains the only platform that would take the state to another level of development.
Addressing a crowd at Kabba, in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of the state, the PDP chieftain pointed out that those aspiring to dislodge the party in the next governorship poll are only having a tall dream.
He said there is no alternative to PDP, adding that those wishing to dump the party for the opposition would discover that they have deceived themselves.
Salau ttherefore enjoined the loyalists and supporters of the party to continue to be loyal and supportive to the present administration both at the federal and state.
He further posited that the Captain Idris Wada-led administration has delivered on its campaign promises, urging the people of the state to give the governor another mandate to consolidate on his landmark achievements.
According to him, successes had been recorded in virtually all sectors of the economy, particularly his commitment in taking rice and cassava production to unprecedented level.
The chairman also denied endorsing any candidate in next year’s general elections, describing as mischief, the insinuations that the party leadership had endorsed some lawmakers to continue in office in the coming dispensation.
He explained that if anything, it is only the state governor that was endorsed by the leadership of the party.
