Since assuming office in May 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken decisions many of his predecessors considered too politically risky to touch. Fuel subsidy removal and exchange rate unification were long acknowledged bottlenecks to Nigeria’s progress, yet successive governments allowed them to fester out of fear of possible backlash.

President Tinubu broke that cycle of hesitation. His boldness marked him not as a politician seeking applause, but as a statesman determined to chart a course toward long term prosperity, regardless of temporary discomfort.

The Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding dividends. Funds once drained by subsidy racketeering are now redirected into infrastructure, roads, railways, housing, and healthcare. The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Abuja-Kano Expressway rehabilitation, and renewed investments in steel development stand as enduring testaments to his vision. Though transitional pains persist, Nigeria’s economy is being structurally repositioned for industrial take off.

Beyond infrastructure, President Tinubu’s reforms in agriculture, power, and the digital economy are unlocking new frontiers for jobs and innovation. For the first time in decades, Nigerians are witnessing a leader confronting the root causes of underdevelopment rather than papering over the cracks.

President Tinubu enjoys a level of grassroots support unmatched by rivals. His long history of coalition building, coupled with the credibility of his reform agenda, has built confidence in his leadership. From the All Progressives Congress (APC) machinery to ordinary Nigerians experiencing the first rays of Renewed Hope, the continuity project is not just a party slogan, it is fast becoming a national consensus.

The Tinubu Support Group, Tinubu Grassroots Support for Continuity (TGSC) project, the Tinubu Initiatives for National Transformation (TINT) among several other grassroot support groups has further entrenched his bond with the people, translating federal policies into tangible benefits for households and communities, reflection of the administration’s recognition and strengthens belief in the sustainability of Tinubu’s vision.

Nigeria’s politics may be unpredictable, but President Tinubu’s political journey is defined by strategy, resilience, and foresight. He has faced opposition coalitions, endured political exile, and emerged stronger at every turn.

By 2027, the reforms he set in motion will be bearing visible fruit, silencing critics who today weaponize temporary hardship for cheap political points.

Continuity will be assured not because of blind loyalty, but because Nigerians will see, feel, and experience transformation in their daily lives affordable power, functioning industries, better roads, and opportunities for the youth. The opposition will struggle to match such a record.

The verdict of destiny and the judgment of performance are already tilting towards President Tinubu. Nigerians, having witnessed his uncommon courage and foresight, will naturally reward consistency with continuity in 2027.

His leadership is not just about winning the next election, but about securing the next generation. And because of this, his continuity is not just likely, it is assured.
