Nigeria@65: Hon Sanni Abdulraheem Commends Tinubu’s Efforts to Revive Ajaokuta Steel

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Day, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem (aka SEA), Member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to reviving the Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited. In his Independence Day message.

Hon. Abdulraheem described the Ajaokuta Steel project as a symbol of Nigeria’s industrial potential and the economic empowerment it promises.

The project, which has been dormant for decades, is expected to bring hope and economic empowerment to the people of Ajaokuta, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large.

Hon. Abdulrahmeem praised President Tinubu’s administration for demonstrating renewed political will and concrete actions aimed at bringing this critical national asset to life.

The Lawmaker, However, expressed disappointment and strong condemnation of recent remarks credited to business mogul Aliko Dangote, who allegedly likened the Ajaokuta Steel Company to a graveyard.

He described such remarks as insensitive and disrespectful to the millions of Nigerians who have invested hope in the project.

The lawmaker called on all stakeholders, including business leaders, to support rather than discourage the Federal Government’s industrialization agenda.

He emphasized the need for unity of purpose and patriotic support for national development projects.

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th year of independence, Hon. SEA remains committed to representing the interests of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency and ensuring that their voices are heard in the corridors of power. He expressed optimism that the Ajaokuta Steel Company will become a testament to what Nigeria can achieve when it works together.
