The once called giant of Africa has deviated from been giant. The attributes found in this country that characterized her to be giant suddenly varnished in a twinkling of an eye. A swift swap or degeneration I called ‘Cankerworms depilatory mission’ to Nigeria.
Utmost effort made by few visionaries had been proven ineffective has the problems and challenges appear to be millions cankerworms depilatory mission to the African especially the once know Giant of Africa.
Nigeria at a point was so accommodating, resourceful and harmonized, this nation hosted the whites and attracted investors, yet in the midst of trading we still found peace, colonization and implementation of indirect rule gave our people ample opportunities for nationhood actualization. Hence an eye opener to independence.

What shall we say of the Heroes past, our daily pledge to this nation, our anthem and our victory over colonialism?
The differences we see today, the degeneration we observed daily, the havoc, killing, ringing of election, spilling of blood cum calling for war we see today are the fruits of the Cankerworms we have or host in our Country. The labour of our heroes past ought not to be in vain but seemly, its in vain now. The call to serve our father’s land is like a call to represents our interest, tribe, religion and family. A service or call I tagged ‘come kill, chop and destroy’. Yes that is the true definition of what we see, you are called but you must kill, to have your fills, and after acquisition you make it unbearable to others behind you. What a perverted system. It has grown so fast that the hope of a better nation before restoring the tittle ‘giant of Africa, diminishes daily.
Nigeria an Africa country, a vibrant and diverse nation in West Africa, finds herself at a crossroads, grappling with multifaceted dilemmas affecting her people on personal, social, and economic levels. These challenges, despite her rich history, cultural heritage, and boundless potential, have both united and divided her populace.
We can’t underestimate the struggles, fights, abnormalities and a whole lot of lacuna in our system today, many are the problems of this giant of Africa but few especially that which deals with humans and areas that have been most downtrodden shall be listed herein.
The basic of ‘dilemmas’
Corruption has become a deeply rooted dilemma within Nigerian society, affecting every facet of life. It not only undermines governance and public trust but also hinders progress and development. The fight against corruption is a constant battle, where the line between right and wrong can be blurred, leading to complex moral decadency for individuals and leaders alike.
Nigeria boasts a large, vibrant, and enterprising youth population, which is both an asset and a challenge. Youth unemployment remains a pressing challenge, leaving many young Nigerians disillusioned and uncertain about their future. Empowering the youth with education, skills, and opportunities is crucial for breaking the cycle of unemployment and driving the nation’s progress.
Nigeria grapples with security challenges, including the threat of insurgent groups and communal clashes. We are not sure of safety because we are not even secure with out closest neighbours. People of same tribe, religion and community have turned cat and rat infrastructured by party differences. The quest for power a greater bridge and dam between brothers. A question i ask daily is, Can we be one strong nation devoid of parties’ influence? When shall we see party as just a peaceful method of electing the best and not seeing parties as enemy of progress?
The constant fear of violence and the loss of loved ones cast a shadow on the lives of many Nigerians. The dilemma of preserving peace and security while addressing underlying social and political issues is a complex human struggle.
The restoration of our nationhood, and our great title ‘giant of Africa’ cum a certain or peaceful existence is achievable if the resilience and optimism of the good Nigerian people shine through. If Individuals and communities work tirelessly to bridge divides, find common ground, and seek solutions for a brighter future. If Grassroots initiatives, civil society movements, and innovative projects showcase the potential for positive change and genuine motives disregarding tribe, religion sentiment, self interest and wrong motive for party formation, and reminding us that the power to overcome dilemmas lies within the hearts and minds of the people.
Nigeria’s dilemmas are multifaceted and deeply entrenched in its society, but they also present an opportunity for growth and transformation. Understanding the human side of these challenges is essential to foster empathy and solidarity, enabling us to come together and build a nation that thrives on unity, equity, and sustainable progress. The path ahead may be uncertain, the human persons may create hopelessness and leaders may cause more brouhaha, but the resilience and hope of the Nigerian people offer a guiding light toward a better tomorrow. Its a completed mission only with a positive mindset coupled with patriotism.
