The Nigerian Ambassador to Togo, Adebowale J. Adesina, has urged Nigerians at home and abroad to promote good image of Nigeria in their chosen fields of endeavors as great representatives of Nigeria in other Countries.
Ambassador Adesina stated this in Lome when a group of Nigerians bestowed with academic honours paid visit to the Nigerian Embassy in Togo to register their presence in the French neighbouring Country after the conferment of Honorary doctorate degrees by the Institut Superieur Bilingure Libre Du Togo (IBLT) University in Lome,Togo.
Some Nigerian Professionals including traditional leaders and Community development specialists with distinguished record of public service who were bestowed with the honorary degrees for their meritorious Community development service, were part of the visit to the Embassy.
The Visiting awardees included the Chairman of Global Youth Skill Acquisition and Poverty Eradication Organization (GYSAPE), Ambassador Ozegbe Chuks Emmanuel, who bagged a Honourary Doctorate degree in Public Administration and Community Management from the prestigious Institut Superieur Bilingure Libre Du Togo (IBLT) University in Lome,Togo.
Other awardees included the royal father of Isan Kingdom, Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon,
who received an MBA in (FCTI) and a Community leader, Mr. Peter Ubuwere, among others.
Ambassador Adesina, in a remark, described the awardees as selfless Nigerians with exemplary leadership attributes, adding that the awards are well-deserved because the individuals recognized have made Nigeria proud in at different level of service as they have used their influence to benefit their Communities and larger Nigerian Society.
The Chairman of Global Youth Skill Acquisition and Poverty Eradication Organization (GYSAPE), Ambassador Ozegbe Chuks Emmanuel, an elated awardee, was particularly impressed with the warm reception accorded them by the Nigerian Embassy, as he described Ambassador Adesina as a friendly diplomat with sense of commitment to excellent citizens diplomacy, with impressive diplomatic exploits in the republic of Togo.
Ambassador Ozegbe, said he was humbled by the honour and recognition bestowed on them.
“The conferment of this honourary degree on me has spured me to work harder for the advancement of humanity while i shall maintain best practices and ethical standards in Community development engagement with zeal and higher commitment to community projects. by this recognition by this great institution, I have resolved to work harder to be a good Ambassador of Institut Superieur Bilingure Libre Du Togo (IBLT).”
Ambassador Ozegbe, in a chat with newsmen, expressed his happiness on the award he described as a stepping stone to higher responsibility in Community development efforts.
