The Chairman, Kogi state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop John Ibenu, has declared that peace of God will reign forever in Nigeria.
Bishop Ibenu made the declaration during the prayer organised by Kogi state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to mark Nigeria’s sixty one independence anniversary in Lokoja on Sunday.
According to him, power of peace and progress will over shadow Nigeria stressing that God will grant this nation God fearing leaders that will see their position as a call to serve and make Nigeria better.
He expressed confidence that Nigerians would begin to witness progress, live in peace, secure environment very soon, adding that the days of strife and uncertainties in Nigeria would come to an end.
Also, the Senior Pastor of Chapel of Freedom International Churches Lokoja, Sunday Paul, called on Nigerians to embrace God for stability and progress in families and nation.
Pastor Paul, who spoke on the topic ‘Winning Faith’, said Nigerians should depend on God for all their challenges.
According to him, Nigerians and their leaders should heed God’s directives for the good of the society saying that with prayers, the faithful God will grant Nigeria victory over sponsors of violence in the country.
Also speaking, Venerable J. O. Oricha called for unity in the body of Christ in order to move the work of God forward and save people from anxiety.
