The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon. Alfa Momoh Rabiu has expressed optimism that Nigeria’s future is poised for greatness and would overcome all the troubles stressing the importance of unity in the face of trials in order to birth a nation we shall all be proud of.
“Although we are not where we or our founding fathers wanted us to be, our overcoming of trivial challenges and divisible trials in the past calls for celebration. Moreover, all that matters is how to strengthen our unity as one people with one mission and one purpose which our stable democracy from 1999 to this time has availed the opportunity sustain,” he said.
Speaking further, he highlighted how Nigeria has overcome many challenges in the past and stated that the present Biafra agitation shall soon be laid to rest rating it as nothing when compared to the Nigerian civil war and Boko Haram insurgency which he all described as been alien to our peaceful coexistence.
His words, “it is not possible to solve problems with arms and derogatory statements against constituted authorities, individual or group because the eventuality of misunderstanding such outbursts can turn vulnerable people against the nation and kinsmen”
While concluding, he promised that on his part as a legislator, he will continue to lend his voice towards ensuring that they(legislators) wit and provide the needed legislative framework for the Executive arm of Government to deliver the dividends of true democracy to the people of the state and by large extension, the nation.
