The Chairman of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas Abdulmalik has extended greetings to the people of Kogi State for the successful end of the year 2019 and triumphant entry into 2020 calendar year.
In a statement signed by Andas Abdulmalik, he appealed to the people of the state to continue to pray for the peaceful coexistence and progress of Kogi State in the year 2020 and beyond.
He enjoined the people of the state to join hands together in moving the State to its next level of growth and development as advocated by the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja.
“Reflections of our activities as individuals and State might have revealed one form of failure(s) or the other. The lessons learnt from this and necessary amendments made thereof must be harnessed for a smooth beginning in the new year in all our endeavours to keep us in tune with progress growth and development,” he said.
The Chairman Assembly Service Commission enjoined the people of the state to intercede for, pray and support Governor Bello and his Deputy to take the state to greater level of development and growth.
“Kogi State is our only State. Let us join hands to move the State to the next greater level as always advocated by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja. Let us shun all actions and inactions that have brought us down as individuals, society, state and nation and do things that will promote our unity, progress and development as corporate individuals and as an indivisible entity coexisting in the state.
“Governance is a collective responsibility and as such people should not to be arm chair critics looking for non-existing faults rather they should encourage people in positions of leadership at all levels in order to enable them deliver and achieve on their goals and promises,” he said.
Alhaji Andas admonished the people of the State to always contribute their quota in ensuring a more successful, impactful and prosperous second tenure in office of the state Governor and his Deputy.
