The newly elected Honourable Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momoh Jimoh Lawal has sympathized with the victims of flood that ravaged the state recently, urging them to see the flood as an act of God.
He promised that the House will initiate a bill that will provide succour to the victims and also to regulate and enforce town planning rules.
The Speaker made this known when he paid a sympathy visit to Gadumo and Saint Luke Primary School Camps, Adankolo in Lokoja respectively.
He said he was pained by the ugly incidence that had rendered many homeless.
According to him, as part of his contribution to ameliorate their suffering, the Speaker donated three hundred thousand naira.
