The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Aliyu Umar Yusuf has congratulated one of the illustrious sons of Lokoja Local Government, Engr Yahaya Farouk Danladi on his nomination as a commissioner-designate by Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.
Rt Honourable Umar, in a statement signed and made available to the press by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Yabagi Mohammed, described nomination as an indication of the A – rating that the nominee has within the circles of the new administration.
He added in the statement that he is not surprised about the development and described the astute Engineer as a man that worked tirelessly for the victory of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, through the whole process of campaigns for the November 11 gubernatorial election.
The Speaker used the statement to thank the Governor for the nomination and the Local Government stakeholders for their support for the nominee, and singled out the leader who chairs Lokoja/Kogi (Kotonkarfe) Stakeholders Forum, Alhaji Suleiman Baba-Ali for ensuring the area presented her best brains to be part of the new administration.
He used the opportunity to assure Governor Usman Ododo that he would not regret nominating Engineer Danladi, stressing that the nominee is an experienced Engineer and technocrat of repute who is committed to excellence in whatever he does.
