New Appointees: Ogbeni Sunday Oni, Prince Suleiman, Kunle Ola Expresses Gratitude to Gov Bello, Others

Newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Industries and Productivity, Ogbeni David Oni Sunday has expressed gratitude to God who “makes everything beautiful in His own time.”

Sunday, who was appointed alongside 52 other aides on Tuesday, said God uses men as his instrument to uplift a man “and this privileged position would have not happened if not for His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello whom God has used to lift many like myself into relevance.”

“Your Excellency Sir, Many have risen through your benevolence, young individuals who in previous times no one would have given them the benefit of the doubt. I am one of the many and I am grateful sir.

“My appreciation also to the Chief of Staff to His Excellency, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Mohammed Jamiu. You are truly a leader who finds joy in ensuring that others are lifted following the steps of His Excellency you have given young people a sense of belonging and more meaning for their lives. You don’t just preach ‘youth at the table of leadership’ but you walk the talk by creating space for young persons and allowing them to thrive. Your good gesture will never be forgotten.

“I want to also extend a thank you to the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the State Commissioner for Finance who are respectively my leaders from my Local Government Area. May God continue to help you in all your affairs. Special thanks goes to Engineer Abubakar Ohere who has always given me support in and out of office.

“To my family both immediate and extended who have always encouraged me to keep moving, thank you. My special thanks to my wife and children who have continued to pray for me and render their support even in understanding, I want to say a very big thank you,” he said.

Ogbeni stated that his resolve is to continue to justify the confidence reposed in him by Governor Bello in adding his quota in industries and productivity in accordance with the roadmap which guides his administration’s blueprint.

“I will bring to use my little experience in the performance of my roles keenly receiving insight and instructions.
I am forever loyal and committed to his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and also an ardent believer in his quality as the needed ingredient for our nation come 2023. We will work vigorously to crusade and spread this message to the nooks and crannies of this country.”

In the same vein, Prince Suleiman Adinoyi has thanked Governor Bello for his appointment as Special Assistant on Grassroots Sensitization.

Prince Suleiman, in a statement he personally signed, thanked Bello and his deputy for the confidence reposed in him while promising to ensure “mutually satisfying relationship between the grassroots by a collective action to effect change at the local level and on the other part toil towards accomplishing unparalleled achievements for the state government.”

“I am grateful to God Almighty and to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello for the opportunity to serve his government and I gladly accept this rare and coveted privilege to advance the administration’s community relationship with the pledge to occasion a policy that will encourage community contribution thereby taking responsibility for their community, utilizing a variety of strategies to encourage a healthy political conversation and participation, and in whole participatory democracy in the state.

“My appreciation also goes to Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, a down-to-earth, pragmatic, committed and passionate Chief of Staff who has paved way for the appointment of effervescent youths into the government.  
Gratitude to Engr. Abubakar Ohere for his support and assurance, with the promise that all will be well with time. Also are my parents and well wishers across various platforms, thanks for your words of endorsement and encouragement with the trust that I will be victorious.

“As I resume the helms of Governor Bello’s executive office team, I am aware of the imperativeness of ensuring a more productive working relationship and I pledge to make Governor Yahaya Bello and the people of Kogi State proud.”

In his appreciation message, the newly appointed Special Assistant on Grassroot Sensitization to Governor Yahaya Bello, Hon Ola Adekunle Emmanuel, thanked the Governor for the great privilege to serve.

“The chance given to me is highly worthy for me. I will prove myself to be an asset for you and the new Direction Government. My devotions and loyalty will be purely for my work and my principals. I will make sure that I utilize my experience and skills enough to keep my work remarkable.

“Secondly, my appreciation goes to Pharmacist Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for changing my narrative and status, you’re indeed a youth builder and a great leader worthy to emulate. I am forever grateful to you sir.

“My appreciation will not be complete without appreciating my benefactor, pivotal cum father, Chief Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, the Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, for his fatherly love and support always and for availing me the platform to showcase my potential. God bless you sir and all your family members.

“I want to also extend my appreciation to the Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Mathew Kolawole, for bringing me to Lokoja and nurturing me; Secretary to Kogi state government, Dr Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade; my benefactor, Engr Abubakar Ohere; Hon Pius Kolawole, my local government chairman and all the APC leaders from Yagba West, God bless you all,” he said.

Kunle Ola pledged his total commitment and loyalty to the new direction government and promised to discharge his duty accordingly.
