As we move forward in the recall process of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan, we, the constituents, stand resolute in our decision. Today’s attempts to undermine our initiative through propaganda will not deter us from our mission.
The time is ticking as we seek to hold Senator Natasha accountable for her misconduct in the Senate, including her consistent disregard for established rules and her disrespect towards constituted authority.
In response to the fear of our petition submitted to INEC in the FCT today, a video promoting false information has surfaced online, propagated by supporters of Natasha. This is an obvious attempt to discredit the valid concerns of over 50%+ Kogi Central Senatorial constituents who have come together to initiate this recall.
Senator Natasha has a history of making unsubstantiated allegations. When the Senate chairman on ethics and privileges submitted Sen. Natasha’s suspension report to the Senate, it meted a smear campaign online through Sahara reporters where narrations such as “Senate Ethics Chairman Neda Imasuen, Who Suspended Natasha, Lost Law Practice Licence In New York Over Misconduct” was pushed
Subsequently, when Senator Karimi of the west Senatorial districts advised Sen. Natasha on the ethics of the Senate he was attacked through the media where narrations on like “Police Summon Nigerian Senator Karimi Over Alleged Russian KGB Infiltration Of National Assembly” suddenly became flying news.
Just today, when Mrs Charity Ijese addressed the media highlighting the official submissions of the over 50% signatures of constituents for the recall process, Sen Natasha supporters started flaunting videos to push desired narrations far from the truth
Sen Natasha has laid allegations against Reno Omokri and the Senate President without providing any evidence. This pattern of behaviour highlights her lack of accountability and respect for the truth, therefore we won’t take her seriously for the trending videos. She is known for using the media to her advantage, forcefully changing narrations to distract the people.
We reiterate our commitment to recalling Natasha due to her failure to exercise emotional intelligence and her neglect of the responsibilities entrusted to her. It is time for her to step out of the Senate, return to Kogi Central, and truly understand the values cherished by our community. We believe in the importance of respecting constituted authority and rejecting manipulation or appeals to public sympathy.
Our resolve to see this recall through to completion is unshaken. We will not rest until Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan is removed from office, ensuring that Kogi Central is represented by someone who embodies our doctrine for respect and the rule of law.
