Dr. Felix Ale, the Director of Media and Corporate Communication at the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late father-in-law, Chief Fred Ojo Akinpelumi, J.P.

The former Executive Chairman of Ondo West Local Government Council will be laid to rest on Friday, January 3, 2025, after a funeral service at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Oke Paadi, Ondo City.

In a special statement on Sunday, Dr. Ale extolled Chief Akinpelumi as a scholar, visionary leader, and devoted family man whose legacy has touched countless lives and inspired future generations.

“Chief Fred Ojo Akinpelumi was not just a scholar but a first-class mathematician whose brilliance illuminated the path for many aspiring minds,” he remarked.

Dr. Ale highlighted Chief Akinpelumi’s transformative impact as a principal in several prestigious secondary schools. “His ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging made him a revered figure in education. Many of his students, who have gone on to achieve great heights globally, are a testament to his dedication and passion for teaching,” he said.

Beyond academics, Chief Akinpelumi’s tenure as the Executive Chairman of Ondo West Local Government Council was marked by visionary leadership and transformative policies.

Dr. Ale noted, “He championed development projects that improved the lives of the people he served, always guided by a sense of duty and integrity. His ability to balance authority with compassion earned him respect and admiration.”

Chief Fred Ojo Akinpelumi, who served as Chairman of Ondo West Local Government Council from 2003 to 2007 and held the prestigious title of Bobatolu of Ondo Kingdom, leaves behind a legacy of service, scholarship, and community leadership. His funeral is expected to draw dignitaries from across the country as they gather to celebrate a life well-lived.
