My primary aim of contesting for the NAKOSS President is to ensure that your mandate and welfare are in safe hand. Our mission is to enlighten NAKOSSITES on the task before us and ignite passion for it.
“Our vision is to create a NAKOSS were everyone can be availed a platform to achieve their potentials through consolidation and innovation. In achieving these we shall be focusing majorly on the most critical challenges confronting our dear NAKOSS at the moment.”
His Four Cardinal Points Agenda According to the the statement also reads:
Student Welfare:
My topmost priority is the welfare of every student of Kogi State origin. I will ensure that the general wellbeing and ease of learning of Kogi State students are not treated with any form of laxity. From good hostel accommodations, to annual bursaries by the government, Improved welfare across all campuses through data collection and regular interface with all the respective presidents and proffer possible solutions.
Uninterrupted campaign against drug abuse, cultism, child abuse, thuggery and other social vices among kogi state students and youths.
Skills acquisition and technical development: Obviously, the government and the organised private sector have proved to be inadequate to tackle the employment needs of our high number of educated-unemployed. I will work tirelessly towards ensuring that Kogi State Students acquire basic, technical, practical and self employable skills before graduation. Through diplomatic discussions with the government, I will, in addition, ensure that this category of students are financially empowered to take off more comfortably.
Private Sector Partnership:
I will involve the private sector in the affairs of Kogi state students and call for their contributions to student all-round development. This will help in organizing Regular competition across the six geo political zones, with my strong interest to ignite the passion for NAKOSS we shall be organizing regular competitions across the geo political zone and within kogi state after which all winners shall converge at the state capital for the grand finale.
Partnership with Sister Associations:
I will remain a dependable partner to other students union bodies in championing the affairs of Nigerian students in general and Kogi State Students in particular. This will also include working closely with the current leadership of all students associations as well as fetching from the wealth of experiences of past leaders for the good of NAKOSS. We shall Consolidate the idea of NAKOSS house, and also passionately inherit the NAKOSS HOUSE project from the current administration and complete it by the special grace of God to give NAKOSS a face lift.
These are the pledges I make to you, my fellow Kogi State Students. I humbly crave your total support to make this great vision a reality.
