The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) has condemned the recent protests by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) across most tertiary institutions in the state.
NAKOSS president, Comrade Ahmad Shehu Seme, stated this during a press conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) Press Centre.
NAKOSS vowed to abort any attempt to frustrate the good agenda of Governor Yahaya Bello for the good people of the State as it regards the education sector.
The student body pointed out that the 2017 budget places the education sector as the top most priority with greater percentage that will guarantee qualitative and accessible education for all regardless of financial constraints.
They stressed that the budget also envisage improved welfare packages for both academic and non academic staff members of various tertiary institutions in the state.
Comrade Ahmad urged the JAC members to shun any form of disruptions in the academic calendar of the tertiary institutions in the state for the sake of the students.
