Leadership of the National Association of Business Administration and Management Students (NABAMS), Kogi State Polytechnic Chapter, has presented an award to the Secretary, Lokoja Local Government Area, Hon Ibrahim Jibril.
Speaking during the Awards Presentation, the President, Comrade Onuh Daniel said they were motivated by the Secretary’s sterling qualities and the capacity he has shown in the little time he has been the scribe of the council.
Comrade Daniel, who stressed that the secretary, as one of them, has shown that with Business Administrators like Hon Ibrahim Jibril, effective management of resources would be enhanced and the society would be better.
He stressed that himself and his colleagues in the polytechnic are proud of the achievements of Hon Jibril, and enjoined him to continue to make them proud through committed discharge of his responsibilities.
According to the President, they were overwhelmed upon realising that he is one of them who has practicalised what is being taught in the class by making success of himself from his humble beginning in private business and now in public service.
NABAMS, Kogi state polytechnic chapter, the President added, could beat its chest at any point in time, knowing that their products are all excelling in their chosen careers, whether as administrators or managers of any resources.
Responding, the obviously overwhelmed awardee and secretary of Lokoja Local Government, Hon Ibrahim Jibril said he is humbled by the award, and said it would spur him to doing more so as to affect lives of his people positively.
He thanked the executive members of NABAMS for finding him worthy of the award, informing his guests that he could not have succeeded without determination and prayers.
Reacting, the APC women leader for Lokoja Local Government Area who was present enjoined the students to avoid all social vices capable of jeopardising their future as they were leaders of tomorrow, the matra youths are always reminded of.
She therefore admonished them against cultism, bad associations and enjoined them to redouble their efforts in their studies; and gave gratitude to God for the award bestowed on the secretary. She said it was an added cap to the feet of Lokoja LGA.
Also present at the occasion were the welfare officer for Lokoja Local Government APC and other staff at the Secretary’s office.
