Adeyemi said the organized labour has chosen the slow and steady approach in trying to arrive at the new minimum wage.

He pointed out that the Covid-19 pandemic slowed down negotiations between government and the organised labour.

The labour leader commended Kogi state government for its cooperation in meeting up with the new minimum wage.

He described the operation of the organized labour in the state in the last four years as challenging.

He stated that the organized labour opted for dialogue to help it navigate the stormy challenge.

He said the organized labour is not resting on the issues of non promotion and other issues affecting the welfare of the workers in the state as all unions have been directed to submit list of the workers affected by several challenges to a committee it has constituted.

He urged the incoming executives of Nigeria Union of Agric and Allied Employees (NUAAE) to make the welfare of their members top priority, assuring of better days ahead for the Kogi workers.
