Senator Sunday Karimi has launched a groundbreaking small business funds scheme worth N100 million to empower 50 registered women cooperative societies in Kogi West.

This is in fulfillment of his campaign promise to support small businesses and start-ups.

According to a statement released to the press, the scheme will be managed by the leadership of each cooperative society under the expert guidance of experienced cooperative managers and small-scale business financing specialists.

This annual initiative aims to boost working capital for women-led organizations, enhance their economic activities, and promote financial stability.

According to the statement, a dedicated committee has been established to oversee the program, which is expected to have a profound impact on the lives of women in Kogi West and contribute significantly to the region’s economic growth.

“The ultimate goal is to build robust cooperative societies among Kogi West women, enhance their capacities, and improve their livelihoods in small-scale businesses and agriculture.

“Senator Karimi believes that the N100 million support will be a game-changer for small-scale businesses in Kogi West, positioning them for long-term sustainability.

“This initiative demonstrates his unwavering commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises and supporting the economic empowerment of women in his constituency,” the statement read.
