The unfortunate thing is that Nigeria has irresponsibly watched most of her problems grow from the foetal stage through maturity to monstrosity.
From an economy that is solely dependent on oil to Bokoharam insurgency to a poorly structured political system to subsidy to other numerous problems that stare her in the face, all are problems that would have been nipped at the bud, and not until it turns a natural disasters.
If one moves to a foreign land to do business, it is expected that they acquire land, space and other resources that will aid their business. For instance, the Igala trader in Kano rented his/her shop as well as the Igbo who acquired a landed property to set up a private school in Abuja. It’s criminal for herdsmen to graze their cattle on other people’s farmland without their consent. It’s as simple as that. There are laws for situations like that. Why are they not being enforced?Sacred cows, I guess. Look at the number of lives that the crisis has claimed yet it’s getting little or no attention from the appropriate quarters. It’s quite unfortunate the pretentious life we live in Nigeria.
I want to use this medium to call on Mr President to as a matter of urgency, look into this matter before it degenerate to another form.
Nigeria belong to all of us.
God bless us all.
