The recent courtesy visit of Dr (Chief) Edime Godwin Amade, an All Progressives Congress (APC) political party stalwart from Kogi State, to the governor of the State, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo , has attracted commentary in certain quarters. While public discourse is welcome in a democracy, it is necessary to separate genuine concern from calculated mischief.

Let it be stated clearly and without hesitation: there is nothing controversial about unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC). There is nothing suspicious about supporting a sitting governor who is demonstrably committed to delivering on his mandate. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with consolidating the party’s strength ahead of a critical national election cycle.

Those attempting to manufacture tension from a routine courtesy visit must ask themselves a simple question: when did collaboration become a crime within one’s own political party?

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo represents continuity of governance, administrative focus, and a leadership style grounded in humility and accessibility. These are not superficial attributes; they are qualities that inspire public trust and stabilize party structures. At a time when political parties across the nation are recalibrating for the future, internal cohesion is not optional — it is essential.

As a stakeholder in APC, Chief Edime’s responsibility is not to inflame factional sentiment but to strengthen structures that guarantee victory.

He’s not unaware of the whispers. He’s simply unimpressed by them.

Chief Edime’s political actions are guided by strategy, not sentiment; by results, not rivalry. As Managing Director of G-Techno Group of Companies and Chairman G-Techno Institute for Agriculture and Entrepreneur Development, he understands institutional leadership and long-term planning. In politics, as in business and development, fragmentation weakens capacity while unity multiplies impact.

More importantly, as Director General of North Central Advocates for Tinubu (NCAT) 2027, his  mandate is explicit: mobilize and consolidate the North Central region in preparation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s successful re-election in 2027. That responsibility demands focus, alignment, and strategic cooperation across all APC-controlled states — including Kogi.

It would be politically irresponsible to undermine a sitting APC governor who is working to stabilize and develop his state simply to satisfy narrow interests or factional preferences.

The path to 2027 begins today. It begins with discipline. It begins with unity. It begins with supporting leaders who are strengthening the party’s grassroots appeal through performance.

Let it again be unequivocal: Edime’s ultimate goal is the total victory of the All Progressives Congress — at the state level, at the regional level, and at the national level. Every engagement he undertakes is measured against that objective.

Those uncomfortable with constructive alignment must recognize a fundamental truth of politics: relevance is earned through contribution to victory, not through resistance to unity. The APC cannot afford the luxury of internal distractions when the national task ahead requires cohesion and strategic clarity.

History is clear. Parties that close ranks around performing leadership secure dominance. Parties that indulge internal rivalry create vulnerabilities for their opponents.

His visit to Governor Ododo was not a signal of division; it was a declaration of consolidation. It was not about personalities; it was about party strength. It was not about factional alignment; it was about electoral preparation.

We must choose whether we are preparing to win or preparing to quarrel.

He’s made his choice.
He stands firmly for unity.
He stands firmly for performance.
And he stands firmly for APC victory in 2027.
