“My Administration is Thirsty for Results”- Wada

Captain Idris Ichalla Wada, the Governor of Kogi State has urged newly appointed board members in the state to see their appointments as a call to service as his  administration is thirsty for results.

Capt Wada stated this at the inauguration of a Technical Adviser on Education, Sylvester Onoja, Chairmen and Members of Commissions, Boards, Agencies and Parastatals, urged them to see their appointment as a call to service and not an invitation to contest authority or supremacy.

Capt Wada, pointed out that his administration is working hard to fulfill government’s expectations of value delivery, good conduct and transformational development, said those inaugurated were arrived at after extensive consultation and that consideration have been carried out to identify and match stability, experience and expertise of members with the mandate and operations of various boards.

The inauguration, Capt Wada who was represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, disclosed is to provide effective administration in all aspect of public Governance and to run an all inclusive and purpose driven Government.

The Governor urged those inaugurated to avoid inter-agency conflict and controversies adding that the state can only become better through effective pursuit of a shared vision and a shared value by all that are in the administrative loop in the state.

The Governor charged those inaugurated to be innovative,creative and be prudent in the discharge of their duties.

Earlier in his speech, Prof Olugbemiro Jegede, Secretary to State Government, described the role of those appointed as advisory, called on them to key into the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the present administration by imbibing the core values of commitment, transparency, accountability, zero tolerance for corruption and punctuality.

Speaking on behalf of those inaugurated, Dr Stephen Olorunfemi, promised to justify their appointment thanked the State Governor for given them the opportunity to serve.
