The Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Leadership Centre has announced the appointment of Muyiwa Fatosa, a respected strategic communication and media consultant, to its Advisory Board. The appointment was formally conveyed in a letter dated September 1, 2025.
The Centre, established to honor and advance the legacy of Nigeria’s first and only Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, is dedicated to promoting values of integrity, service, and good governance. It focuses on equipping present and future leaders with the skills and opportunities needed to address complex governance and societal challenges.
Fatosa’s selection reflects his strong track record of leadership, professional excellence, and commitment to fostering meaningful social change. Over the years, he has built a reputation for shaping conversations around governance and development while supporting initiatives that strengthen institutions and empower communities.
The Centre’s maiden Leadership Lecture is scheduled to take place on October 10, 2025, in Abuja, under the theme: “Developing Nigeria: We Are the Leaders We Have Been Waiting For.” The event will bring together leaders from government, business, traditional institutions, and civil society to explore pathways for national development and inclusive leadership.
Speaking on his appointment, Fatosa expressed his gratitude, saying, “It is an honor to serve on this board and to contribute to advancing the vision and legacy of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.
