Muslim Community Secondary School Honours Kogi Speaker and Barrister Aliyu

The Muslim Community Secondary School Old Students Association (MUCOSSOSA) yesterday honoured two alumni of the school, Rt. Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam, Speaker Kogi State House of Asembly and Barrister Aliyu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The colourful event marked the 37th anniversary of Muslim Community Secondary School, Lokoja.

The awards to Imam and Aliyu was in recognition of their contributions to the school and the society. Aliyu was the pioneer Head boy Muslim Community Secondary School, Lokoja in 1984. Imam also served Head boy of the school in 1992.

The organisers of the event harped on the need for public schools to recognise products of the school who have excelled in their respective chosen fields and mobilize support for the development of the schools.

 

The honour, in the presence of current students of the school, was to serve as a morale booster to the upcoming generation.

 

The award ceremony, first of its kind in the history of the school, was organised by the Muslim Community Secondary School Old Students Association (MUCOSSOSA) led by the National President Comrade Garba Bako, a Chartered Accountant and a Banker.
