Hon. Muhammed Yahaya Dongo has applauded Governor Usman Ododo for the approval of N72,500 as new minimum wage for workers in Kogi State.
Hon Muhammed, while reacting to the new development from his Abuja media office, commended Gov Ododo for taking a bold step, adding that the step indicated that his administration means well for the welfare and development of civil servants in Kogi state.
He also commended Governor Ododo for the prompt payment of workers salary in the state.
Hon Muhammed appreciated Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the former Governor of Kogi State, for the choice of Ododo as the state Governor, and for the undiluted support he has been extending to his successor since he assumed office.
“Kogi wouldn’t have been enjoying this dividend of democracy without the good foundation laid by the past administration of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello,” he said.
He urged all critical stakeholders, sons and daughters of Kogi State both home and in diaspora to rally round Governor Ododo and give him the necessary supports and cooperation to enable him do more.
Noting that government alone can not do it all, he urged individuals to contribute their quota to the development of the state.
