Ward Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mopamuro local government area of Kogi State have commended Governor Yahaya Belo for appointing Hon. Kingsley Fanwo as Commissioner for Information and Communication.
In a statement signed by the chairman of the FCorum, Samuel Obasun, said the decision will spark a revolution in the information sector of the State.
The ward leaders noted that Fanwo’s appointment is in the best interest of Mopamuro people.
“In the past four years, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has proved himself on the job. We were happy when the Deputy Speaker gave him a special commendation during the screening exercise. That is the Mopamuro spirit of commitment and loyalty.
“Above the quality job done as Chief Press Secretary, Director General to the Governor on Media and more recently, as Special Adviser on Information and Communication, Fanwo has justified his appointments by giving back to the society.
“In less than a year to his appointment then as CPS, Hon Fanwo embarked on an empowerment program that helped our people and party members across the 10 Wards in Mopamuro LGA. He has donated printed instructional materials to primary schools, paid WAEC and NECO fees for scores of students as well as his JAMB Support Program.
“Through his intervention, health care has been offered to scores of our people as we see him as an ‘Apostle of New Direction’ which is characterized by giving back to the people. He has also supported many farmers among us.
“It is our hope as a party that Fanwo will continue to serve our people with commitment and loyalty,” the statement read.
The Forum assured the Governor of continued support throughout his second term in office.
“Governor Yahaya Bello showed how a ruling party can galvanize its members to win elections. Kogi APC delivered in the Presidential, Senatorial and Reps elections before winning all the 25 seats in the House of Assembly under this dynamic and goal-getting leadership.
“We wish to assure the Governor of our loyalty to the party and to him. And we pray that God will work with him and his able Deputy to continue to reposition our state and our party”.
