…..as Traditional Council Passes Vote of Confidence on Gov. Ododo
The Executive Chairman, Mopamuro Local Government Council, Hon. Ademola Bello, has vowed to leave no stone unturned to ensure security of lives and property in the LGA.
The Council Chairman made this known at a Security Council Meeting he convened on Monday to appraise the security situation in the Local Government Area with a view to crafting water tight security architecture for the people of the area.
The meeting which was graced by the Chairman of the Mopamuro Local Government Traditional Council and the Elulu of Mopamuro, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun and his Vice Chairman, the Alamuro of Amuro, His Royal Majesty, Oba Alfred Aiyedogbon, all the royal fathers as well as security heads in the Local Government, was convened to take stock of the security situation in the Local Government Area as well as the brainstorm on how to maintain peace and security.

In his opening address, the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Hon. Ademola Bello thanked the royal fathers and the heads of security agencies for their commitment to a peaceful and safe Mopamuro.
His words: “Let me thank our royal fathers and the security agencies in the Local Government for their cooperation and commitment towards a peaceful and secured Mopamuro. Your support has made my job easier and I want to assure you of my commitment to ensuring that criminality doesn’t raise its ugly head in the Local Government Area.
“I want to also express my appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State for his support to our Local Government Area to keep our people safe. His disposition to the welfare of our people has also reduced criminality at the grassroots”.
The Executive Chairman said his administration will leave no stone unturned to ensure security of lives and property in Mopamuro.
Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Chairman of the Traditional Council and the Elulu of Mopa, HRM Oba Muyiwa Ibeun commended the Council Chairman for his commitment to security.
He said the traditional council is also committed to ensuring security in their domains, assuring the Chairman that the royal fathers will continue to cooperate with him to keep the Local Government safe.
Also at the meeting, the Mopamuro Local Government Traditional Council has endorsed the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office.
The Council said the massive development experienced under the present administration in the state should continue beyond 2027.
