A frontline aspirant in the 2019 Kogi State Assembly election, Abel Olushola Julius has charged Mopamuro constituents to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice as preached and exemplified by Jesus Christ who gave his life for man to live.
In a statement signed by Mr. Abodunrin Destiny Towoju on behalf of Irapada Mopamuro Media Team, the aspirant who is fondly called ‘Ontop’ said the death and resurrection of Christ is the essence of the Easter celebration and by extension the core essence of Christianity.
“Celebrating Easter, imbibing the teachings and following the ways of Christ is not the deal of Christians alone, for us to live in harmony as humans, we all need to live sacrificially in respective areas of life”, Abel said.
He stated that said there’s need to reflect on the aftermath of Jesus’ resurrection, stressing that selflessness cum sacrifice is an essential tool for development.
He also advised all to celebrate in modesty as law abiding citizens.
