Born in Dekina town in the early 70s, Alhaji Mohammed Shakur Yunusa is an offshoot of the family of a renowned islamic scholar, preacher and evangelist ,late Alhaji Isah Yunusa(popularly known as Isa Adebu)
Mohammed Shakur Yunusa started his early life in a well groomed islamic background,but with highly tolerable instinct towards other religion, evidenced by some of his friends and extractions from the two major religion, right from his early days,the traits he still maintained till date
Because of his orientation and background,Shakur Yunusa enrolled both in Islamiya primary school Dekina side by side running a quaranic education at the home front,but distinctively at a tender age of 10,he had completed the mandatory holy quaran to the exclusiveness of the immediate community,the same thing reflected his primary school education with flying colours that led to his absorption into the famous Government Secondary School, Dekina purely on merit
Having spent the mandatory six years in the primary education and public elementary school,the journey had commenced ,that enabled him realise his full potentials was just begun towards a virgin area, penultimate not common to the secondary schools students at that time, be a science biased student,but for the dexterity and the zeal to make a difference,undergoing a science program was a fulfiillemet of life expectancy that was a walk over
Shakur Mohammed after the successful completion of the program in secondary education,without delay having done exceptionally well,moved for higher education after he secured admission, a completely new program and area in the university, at federal university of technology,minna in Niger state and read B.Tech/Physics and Computer science with a distinct perfomance
Having completed his program and crowned it with the mandatory NYSC exercise,returned to Abuja to start the first phase of his life,which also saw him returning back to the university to obtain a secondary degree with Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy(MIAD) from Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria,after he bagged a post-graduate diploma in management from the same institution
Because of his strong background in commerce and industry,Alhaji Mohammed Shakur Yunusa did not relent on the unfavourable labour market as he quickly settled down into small,medium and large scale entrepreneurial activities for a long time,as he thrived based on his transparent and well thought out design to advance the course of his adventure
While he ventured into series of legitimate transactions and activities,Shakur later joined the federal civil service to acquaint himself with the rudiments and wealth of experience in the civil service span for close to two decades,a feat that had further assisted him greatly in the management of both human and other issues demanding attention
As a civil servant,with long years of experience and exposure,he did not only stop there,the thriving business conglomerate and technocrat experience saw him at the political sphere having served severally as political aide to distinguish senator and former member of the house of representatives for over two decades,this made him indepthly conversant with the political development both in his home state and Nigeria in general
The political alliance and association attracted and exposed his innate community based services and activities that had placed him as one of the vulnerable care givers interms of the welfare of the people,groups,organisations,communities in and around igala land,kogi state and Nigeria at large
He had attracted so much in the area of wealth creation,social services,empowerment,job placement, in all ramifications across board to the consternation of the people of his immediate constituency and the state at large
His contribution to the activities of the two major religion to ensure unity,peace and development knew no bound,particularly his ideas of encouraging good brotherliness and advocate of violence free society to attract accelerated development by ensuring a quantum conttributions to all religious programs from time to time or occassionaly/annuialy
He had attracted so many life touching structures,programs and activities to the entire dekina federal constituency too numerous to mention except for the likely emerging political exigency and record purposes
Alhaji Shakur with instinct in human,social,political and economic emancipation of his people at heart,coupled with political connection both home and in the diaspora,the pressure to manifestly key into the political emancipation had gathered cloud and momentum as he will soon make public the decision to yield to the pressure to make a diffrence and salvage the people of Dekina/Bassa Federal constituency in the on going political liberation that desire people centred actions,decisions and programs
He is happily married to Dr Aisha Shakur Mohammed with children
