The Executive Chairman of Ofu Local Government, Hon. Musa Muhammed Lawal, has passionately called on all party members, especially the vibrant youths of Ofu, to rise to their civic responsibility by securing their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as a strategic tool for democratic participation and political empowerment.

Speaking during an interactive engagement with youths across the local government, the Chairman emphasized that the PVC remains the strongest instrument through which the people can shape governance, consolidate democracy, and sustain the gains of progressive leadership. He described the electorate as critical stakeholders in the democratic process, whose active participation will determine the trajectory of development in Ofu and Kogi State at large.

Hon. Lawal further urged citizens to uphold the values of peace, unity, and political tolerance, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony and collective responsibility. He stressed that political differences must never override the shared vision for growth, stability, and prosperity.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, the Chairman assured that the dividends of democracy will not be confined to a select few but will be equitably distributed across all wards and communities. He reiterated his resolve to deepen grassroots development, strengthen institutional structures, and ensure that government presence is felt by every citizen regardless of political affiliation.

“This is a defining moment for our people,” he declared. “We must consolidate our strength, mobilize effectively, and ensure that our voices are heard through legitimate democratic channels. Together, we will build a more prosperous, united, and forward-looking Ofu.”

The statement serves as a clarion call to action—urging all stakeholders to remain politically conscious, actively engaged, and committed to the collective advancement of Ofu Local Government and Kogi State.
