Major premium motors spirit marketer, Mobil filling station located in Paparanda roundabout Lokoja, has bagged an award for the best service station for 2023 in Kogi State.
The award was presented to the manager of the filling station Isah Yunisa by the Nigeria National Volunteer Service, diaspora affairs in Lokoja on Thursday.
Presenting the award to Mobil filling station for their outstanding service to humanity, the Kogi State Coordinator, Nigeria National Volunteer Service, diaspora affairs, Ibrahim Itodo commended Mobil filing station for their selfless service to humanity.
According to him, “All the petroleum station in Kogi State for 2023 specifically, we have noticed Mobil station here in Paparanda, Lokoja, for quite a while. We have discovered the consistency in their service, quality of product, managerial efficiency, and other services rendered in this place has made us through our assessment as Nigeria National Volunteer Service, diaspora affairs to give this prestigious award to this company.
“The Nigeria National Volunteer Service, diaspora affairs was assented to by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2020 with the purpose and focus to identify individuals, private and public business service that are rendering services and covering the gap created by Government and doing their own little way to contribute positively to our society.
“By our assessment, we have discovered that Mobil filing station is filling this gap of providing this services for motorists in Kogi State. You can also discover that if it means service for 24 hours, mobil filing will give you. But because it is allowed that after 10PM in the night they close for exigencies, they have not been able to provide 24 hours service. Our assessment was based on this ground. So they are qualified to be given an award as the best service station for 2023 end of year”.

Also speaking, the Director, Nigeria National Volunteer Service, diaspora affairs, Pastor Joshua Atabor noted that Mobil filing station located in Paparanda Lokoja was assessed for their good service to the people of Kogi State

Responding to the kind gesture, the Manager of Mobil filing station located in Paparanda Lokoja Kogi State, Isah Yunisa posited that the organization is highly elated for the recognition given to them for their service in Kogi State.
Yunisa averred that the company remains committed towards providing effective and reliable service that will impact meaningfully on the people
“Mobil filing station appreciates this kind gesture coming from your organization. Anything you are doing, it is expected you should do it well as posterity will always judge. It is not by our power but by the Grace of God that we achieved this fit.
“When we came to this station some years back, we faced a lot of challenges. People were calling Mobil filing station here in Lokoja black market, accompanied with other negative name. We decided to change this negative names which is not palatable for the growth of our organization.
“And we bless God almighty that today, it has produced positive results and we are now the best in Kogi State. On behalf of the management of this company, we are saying a big thank you for this recognition and we are assuring the general public that we will do more and serve them better in 2024. With there support, Mobil will continue to give them the best service in the years to come.”
