Thousand of people on Thursday received the newly crowned Nollywood International Beauty Queen, Miss Hassana Ozohu Salisu.
Miss Salisu, who made a triumphant entry to Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, was highly commended by Kogites for making the state proud.
The young and vibrant Miss Salisu, who is an indigene of Okene in Kogi Central Senatorial District went round notable streets in Lokoja to appreciate her fans who supported her to win the beauty pageant competition.
The new Miss Nollywood International who was warmly received at the Kogi State Government House Lokoja promised to collaborate with the present administration to develop the movie industry.
She thanked the Kogi State Government and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Omedia Nigeria Limited, Orits Gee, for their unrelentless support for her to emerge as the winner of 2024 Nollywood International Beauty Pageant.
“I am highly elated to come this far as the winner of this beauty pageant competition. Am going to use my good office to collaborate with the Kogi State Government to take our movie industry to the next level. Nollywood is a big name in the world and with me in this office, I will attract both local and international investors to transform the industry to an enviably height,” she said.
Responding, the Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Fatima Momoh while congratulating the beauty Queen promised that the present administration led by Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo will key into Miss Nollywood international beauty Queen projects to move the movie industry forward in Kogi State.
It could be recalled that in a dazzling display of beauty, talent and empowerment, Hassana Ozohu Salisu was crowned the Miss Nollywood International Beauty Queen for 2024, competing against a formidable pool of 18 contestants from across Nigeria.
Miss Salisu, a vibrant representative of the beautiful people of Kogi State, traveled from Abuja to Bayelsa to compete in this prestigious pageant.
Born on November 24, 1998, she is currently an undergraduate at Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic and is making significant strides in her academic and professional endeavors.
Her qualifications include a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Procurement Studies (2021-2023) and a diploma in Filmmaking from Mina Film Academy.
She recently completed a certification in Transitional Film Projects from Bournemouth University London in 2023, and is pursuing further education in journalism.
Hassana, the first child in a family of six from the Salisu Ajoges family, embodies not just beauty but a robust commitment to her community and industry.
She is the founder of the Sallhassy Empowerment Foundation, which has successfully launched two humanitarian projects over the past years.
She leads Sallhassy Empire Entertainment, managing over 130 actors in the film industry, showcasing her dedication to uplifting the creative community.
During the pageant, Salisu’s responses to questions highlighted her genuine passion for the film industry and her determination to bring about positive change in society. Her vision for collaboration and support reflects her commitment to giving back to her community.
The Miss Nollywood International pageant, now in its 11th edition, is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most prestigious beauty competitions.
The event was organized by industry professional and content creator, Mr. Barakumo Odede, a well-respected figure in Bayelsa State known for crowning queens and fostering talent. She is also the chairperson for the northern filmmakers association of Nigeria Abuja chapter
