The chairman of Kogi State Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee (MIREMCO), Hajia Hassiat Ozavize Suleiman has called on patriotic Kogi citizens to deepen their support for the administration of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
While addressing her team of supporters and members of the Association of Women of Substance (Agwuengwuvo) in Ihima during the just concluded Eid al-Adha (feast of the sacrifice), Hajia Hassiat noted that the long term corrective measures introduced by the New Direction administration has begun to yield desired result in the state.
The MIREMCO boss who appreciated members of the association for their support over the years expressed optimism that with the continuous economic recovery and reforms in the state, the government will in no distant time clear salary backlogs and complete all ongoing projects across the three senatorial districts.
“As the general elections draw nearer, get your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and vote for consolidation and continuity of the present administration in the state and federal. Governor Bello’s leadership style which is blind to ethnic and religious sentiments, is premised on probity, transparency and accountability, qualities that have eluded Kogi State since creation”, she enlightened.
Hajia Hassiat wished the people of Kogi State a memorable Eid al-Adha noting that the season is in commemoration of the trust and sacrifice that Ibrahim (Abraham) had in Allah and Allah’s reward of that trust.
She added that “It is in the same vein that I appreciate the sacrifices the people of Kogi State have made and the trust they have put in His Excellency to lead them through this New Direction, and I strongly believe that through him, with God firmly on his side, all our sacrifices will be rewarded in terms of providing good governance to the people”
Consequently, members of the Association of Women of Substance and other attendees extolled Hajia Hassiat for her magnanimity and expressed their unwavering support for Governor Yahaya Bello.
They pledged to sensitise and mobilise other women groups to obtain their PVCs in order to discharge their civic responsibility appropriately when necessary.
