Determined to make the proposed ‘Made in Kogi’ Trade Fair 2021 a huge success, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Kogi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KOCCIMA) has constituted five different committees to work out modalities and execute plans for the event.

This was made known in a press release signed by the public relations officer of the ministry, Taiye Bayode, and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday.

the Director General of KOCCIMA, Samuel Enejoh, stated that the new committees are vital to the execution of the trade fair, adding that it is an important step towards a successful event.

At a meeting with the permanent secretary of the ministry, Enejoh noted that the five committees are: finance, secretariat, monitoring and evaluation; publicity and mobilization; works, venues and utilities; security, protocol and logistics; medical and welfare.

“These committees will oversee the project and ensure its success. MDAs that are important to each of these committees will be added accordingly, to enable them function properly.

“Each committee will also have a chairman and secretary to make sure all protocols are duly noted and observed.

“It is worthy of note that even though a specific date for the Trade Fair isn’t fixed yet, there is a projected time frame of late October/early November 2021,” he said.
