The approval rating of the Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development and member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has received major boost.
This was laid bare at the Palace of His Royal Highness, the Ojogba Onu Ife and Chairman of Omala Traditional Council, HRH. Chief Boniface Musa at his Palace in Abejukolo and the conference hall of Valid Hotel, Abejukolo both in Omala, at a royal homage before and during a Maiden Midterm Report/Townhall meeting respectively.
The Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Area, Hon Aboh Ibrahim who received the Federal lawmaker, in his opening remarks at the palace of the revered monarch noted that the legislator was in the local government for a town hall meeting in a cross interaction to update and head the position of the masses on/about his stewardship at the National Assembly.
Chief Boniface thanked Rep. Halims for redefining leadership in the area, harping his accountability as a rare endeavor that has not only distinguished him in service, but, motivating him to outsmart his own feet.
In a brief speech, Rep. Halims thanked the people of Omala for the confidence reposed on him to serve them at the National Assembly. He recalled with nostalgia how he declared before the people of the area about two years ago, stressing that it was having fulfilled most of the promised he made that he had the guts to stand before the people to give account of his stewardship, so far.
Earlier, a keynote address was made by the Rector of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Usman Salisu Ogbo, on the working of legislation. He brought to full bare, his erudition as he wowed the constituents with his simple presentations which wasn’t only comprehended but made the constituents renew their confidence in Hon. Halims.
Highlights of the day was separate remarks from representatives of the Omala Local Government (APC), the Council Legislative Leader, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), community leaders and Coordinator of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
