Born to a philanthropic family in Ihima, Okehi LGA Kogi State. Amb. Hassiat Ozavize Suleiman had a humble upbringing that saw her through her Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Education. Since then, her life endeavors have spanned across Private and Public Sectors.
During the Administration of his Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello, the then Executive Governor of Kogi State, Amb. Hassiat served concurrently as the Chairman, Minerals Resources and Environmental Management Committee (MIREMCO) and Executive Chairman, Kogi State Mineral Resources Development Agency (KGMRDA). Both portfolios firmly placed her at the intersection of cultivating community relations in mineral-rich regions of the State, while attracting investors and harmonising key players in the Solid Mineral Sector to better the lot of Kogi State citizens and Nigerians in general. MIREMCO (a Federal Government assignment) was a house hold name during her tenure, earning Kogi State several awards at the National and International level.
Amb. Hassiat Suleiman under the Administration of Yahaya Bello, carved a niche for herself as a woman of boundless energy and commitment to her duties; she is a distinguished Public Servant and Philanthropist; her NGO – Aguengwu’uvo Association of Women of Substance has solidified her as a woman of charity – empowering women and youths across the length and breath of Kogi and it’s environs. A results-oriented administrator, Amb. Hassiat Suleiman is committed to advocating for and empowering undeserved communities through purposeful collaboration and partnerships.
A long time loyalist and member of the all Progressive Congress (APC), Amb. Hassiat Suleiman has repeatedly served as an APC National Delegate, is the convener of Harbingers of Change for Good Governance and is also a member of several other support groups.
A grassroots mobiliser, Amb. Suleiman is popular within her local government and constituency, holding several awards and recognition from local groups. She has been hailed a worthy daughter of the land, and has been conferred with traditional titles in recognition of her staunch love for her people and State.
Amb. Hassiat Ozavize Suleiman currently serves as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi Sate on Strategic Investment and Liaison with Federal Agencies and she is posed to do more for the State she holds dear and the Nation as a whole.
