Chairman Senate committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Senator Atai Aidoko Ali has rejoiced with Muslim faithfuls on the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), urging them to demonstrate love for one another in line with the tenets and injunctions of the holy Quran.
The senator representing Kogi East dropped this message in Abuja on Tuesday. He stated that this year’s celebration is crucial in view of its coincidence with the political development of the country.
Aidoko advised the people of Kogi East not to allow their political participation and actions negates the provisions of the practice of Islam.
He preached that part of the holy Prophet Mohammed’s way of life, in adherence to the instructions of the holy book, include fairness, lack of discrimination, forgiveness, abhor bitterness and any other conducts that fell short of the practice.
The Federal lawmaker enjoined the people of Kogi East to sustain the euphoria of joy, brotherliness and peaceful coexistence that heralded this occasion in their daily lives and dealings with one another.
Senator Atai Aidoko promised to continue to demonstrate and support the good people of Kogi East so as to ensure religious tolerance, love for one another in the course of their daily activities.
