Masquerade Processions Must Obtain Proper Authorization – Okene LG Chairman

Chairman of the Okene local government council, Kogi state, Hon. Ahmed Nuhu Enesi, has banned unnecessary masquerade processions across the LGA.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Abdulkareem Abdulwahab, and made available to newsmen on Sunday, the ban was announced by the Chairman during a security meeting at the local government secretariat.

He emphasized that any masquerade procession must obtain proper authorization, citing the need to maintain public order and security.

He warned that any masquerades found operating without permission will face legal action.

According to the statement, the Chairman also declared that all vehicles without number plates and those with tinted windows are prohibited from plying the roads in the area.

He stressed that violators would be dealt with in accordance with the law, as part of efforts to curb criminal activities and enhance public safety.

The Chairman urged all citizens to cooperate with these directives to ensure peace and stability across Okene.
