The Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman of Lokoja Local Government traditional Council, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, has applauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi state for his remarkable initiative aimed at elevating civil servants and pensioners in the state.
The Royal father made the commendations at this year’s Hawan Bariki in commemoration of Edil-Adha on Monday in Lokoja.
Kabir, who highlighted the significant strides made by Governor Ododo on security through innovative programs, prayed for the governor to succeed in developing the state.
The Maigari specifically recognized and commended the Governor for the provision of security vehicles across the State aimed at checking the menace of kidnappers in the state.
He appealed to communities in the state to corporate with the constituted authority, stressing that “as we celebrate Edi-Kabir, we must embrace peace, unity and respect to constituted authorities in the state, local government and the country at large.”
This year’s ceremony which took place at Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja, was attended by Senator Tunde Ogbeha, chairman Lokoja traditional title holders council, who was represented by Sodagi of Lokoja, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim.
Commissioner for Water Resources, Engineer Muhammad Danladi Yahaya Farouk; the Transitional Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu; Cigarin Lakwaja, DCP Ahmed Muhammad Sanusi and Daman of Lokoja, Alhaji Baba Sule; Maiyaki of Lokoja, Ali Lawal Jiya; Shatali of Lokoja, Alhaji Bala Haruna and host of others graced the colourful event.
